Earn Professional Development Credit!
We are excited to announce our new partnership with the University of Massachusetts Global to provide graduate-level professional development credit to educators participating in Poseidon Education’s Stormwater Quality Leadership Program and Water Resources Leadership Program. Educators who successfully complete the corresponding professional development course in tandem with the classroom program are eligible to receive one professional development unit (PDU) through UMass Global!

Poseidon Education’s programs provide teachers with the training, support, and resources they need to effectively teach stormwater and water quality education. Through our comprehensive training, educators gain the skills to implement stormwater curriculum in their own classrooms.
Educators retain access to all materials even after the program ends, enabling them to continue teaching these essential topics beyond the first year and ensuring a lasting impact in their classrooms.
Teacher Training & Certification
Teachers receive 9 hours of personalized, in-person training that is broken into 2–4 sessions. This hands-on certification is led by a Poseidon Education trainer and water quality expert who tailors the training to the specific school site and the needs of its students.
Program Materials
Teachers are equipped with a customized program guide that includes curriculum and ready-to-use materials, ensuring they have everything they need to teach effectively. They also have access to an online drive containing all curriculum files and supporting documents for easy reference. Teachers are also provided with all necessary equipment for safe, effective stormwater testing and other hands-on activities in the classroom.
Ongoing Support
Our commitment to teachers extends beyond initial training. Throughout the program’s duration, educators receive continuous support from a Poseidon Education trainer.
Are your students feeling inspired to dive deeper?
If you have students who are interested in water quality and stormwater, we’d love to support their interest and help them develop leadership skills that stand out in resumes and applications. Many students have joined Poseidon Education in supporting outreach events and speaking at major industry conferences like the CASQA Conference and the Tri-State Seminar.
