2025 California Green Ribbon Schools Honorees
Laguna Beach Unified School District’s recognition as one of only five public schools, districts, and county offices of education to receive the highest sustainability honor in California’s Green Ribbon Schools program reflects its deep commitment to environmental education. In support of the district’s efforts, Poseidon Education launched the Stormwater Quality Leadership Program at Thurston Middle School (funded by the Orange County Public Works Stormwater Program) providing students with hands-on opportunities to connect classroom science with real-world environmental challenges while advancing LBUSD’s districtwide sustainability initiatives.
